The Colonel John Haynes Trust supports current and former members of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) and their immediate family through provision of welfare and education assistance.
Welcome to the Colonel John Haynes Trust website. John was a great believer in providing welfare support to Army personnel and their families, and the RAAC community in particular. One of his legacies is the generous provision of funds, the investment return from which are to be distributed to provide welfare and educational support to RAAC members, past and present, and their families.
My fellow Trustees have been tasked by the RAACA NSW to establish and operate the Trust in accordance with the Trust Deed, so that funds can be allocated to those in need of support. A pool of funds will be retained for urgent allocation for welfare required that cannot be provided by other Government agencies, and the remainder of funds available will be allocated for educational support. A committee will assess applications on their merit to determine who will receive a grant.
It is inevitable that not every application will be able to be supported as there is a finite sum of funds available for distribution, but the Trustees will do their best to provide support where it is most needed.
I encourage you to apply for a Colonel John Haynes Trust grant if you feel that you are in need. Good luck.
